Peter Gibson (aka Roadsworth) began painting street art in Montreal in 2001 and was eventually arrested and charged with 53 counts of mischief. While he could have gotten heavy fines and a criminal record he got a relatively lenient sentence, which he attributes to public support. He has since recieved numerous commissions for his work.
I came across this great site of great obviously photoshopped images. Some of these are really quite different and pretty.
I have always liked the Wooster Art Collective. They often have some pretty neat urban art. Check it out. Who knows, I might even get my cousin John to join!
There are interesting articles popping up about an upcoming trial in France. It appears that they are going after the Church of Scientology based on illegal drug prescriptions.
