Froogle Update quickly updates and uploads Google feeds
Froogle Updater automates changing Google Feed dates and uploading the files to
There are tonnes of programs to get a feed for Google Base (aka Froogle) from CafePress, but then Google wants you to upload the file at least once a month which ends up being a hassle. This got a little old and periodically, the program I was using would put the date to far out and Google would refuse the load. So, I decided I needed a program to handle that for me and created Froogle Updater.
Froogle Updater is a simple program to update the dates in your existing Google Base feed (not just CafePress) and then FTP it to the Google Base site making regular updates to your Google Base products easier.. Froogle Updater can be used as a GUI to do single files or as a command line tool to automate the loading of several files. For example, once a week, I run “FroogleUpdater -dir c:\GoogleFeeds -auto -ftp” and it will automatically load each file in the directory, update the expiry dates and ftp the file to Google Base. Froogle Updater now includes an auto-update feature that will check for new updates as they become available.
To get the command line parameters, go to the install directory and type “FroogleUpdater -?”.
Buying a small buisness
It turns out that Microsoft is expanding into places that you never expected. They now have a website just to buy and sell a small business franchise. The site lets you select a franchise based on things like industry, location and investment required. So, if you have ever considered starting your own small buisness, but didn’t know where to start, this might be an option for you. Continue reading
My ultimate desk idea.
So, I was just looking at new computer desks. There are some very nice ones out there, but it turns out that they still are not producing my ideal computer desk. All I want is one that is a complete circle and you enter and exit by a lift (build into the chair) to a cat walk. I figure half could be just monitors, and the other half could be desk/work/junk collector with a large bookshelf over top. Maybe an automated bookshelf while we are at it. Hmm, yeah, and maybe spouts for beer and fresh coffee (I don’t know how you would keep it fresh, but it sounds cool to me!)
I’ve been writing…
I started writing some miscellaneous articles with a Triond account several weeks ago. Here’s some links to some of my more exciting (I think) articles:

The topics I’ve been writing about are pretty random. Whatever pops into my head really. It’s been helping me to regain focus and concentration levels. Also, writing about what we’ve been going through occasionally has actually helped a little. I’ve been pretty hesitant to share any of this so don’t be too brutal when you let me know what you think!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!!! Continue reading

12 Very Strange Children’s Costumes Not for the Faint of Heart
Paula wrote a great article for Purple Slinky on “12 Very Strange Children’s Costumes Not for the Faint of Heart” that is doing very wellon the ratings at Purple Slinky and Triond. Way to go Paula!
This kid’s face from the article just makes me laugh so much!
It is funny though. Paula has done a number of articles on whatever suits her fancy and the only thing for sure is that we have absolutely no idea how well each article will do. Some of the ones that she really worked at just putter along and then some simple recipe will get loads of traffic! All I can say is to keep it up and it will all work out in the end…
